This is one of my favorite photos. I took it at the Sunset Demonstration Garden at the Arboretum in Arcadia, CA. It's just abstract enough but not too artsy-fartsy. And it reminds me of a lovely place that I always love to visit.
I have 3 days of work left before I am off for the summer. I feel like I'm stuck in limbo -- I have all these things I want to do when I'm off but I can't start any of them yet. Top of the list is figuring out when/if I can take a short trip up north with my sister. She has some medical appointments coming up so our schedule is up in the air at the moment. One fun thing I've been able to begin is a new Saga with two of my friends from high school. And what is a Saga, you may ask? It's something we invented our senior year: a collaborative story about ourselves that we take turns writing. The object of a Saga is to write the most bizarre, wacky and funny story possible, and to throw in a few twists now and then to confuse your fellow writers. We're writing this one online, since one of us is in Spain, which makes it kind of hard to pass notes like we did back in the day...
